Federal funding was announced Wednesday for a manufacturing facility to test and commercialize new products made from Alberta crops and grains. About $4.4 million was committed to the project from Western Economic Diversification Canada. Other funding is expected from the Alberta Barley Commission, industry and Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions for a total of more than $9 million.
