Now that we’re officially launched, we’re working hard on making this Help file as comprehensive and useful as possible. We will be adding details and videos as we evolve – explaining the functions of the site and how to best make use of it. What is the Vernon Community Network?

The VCN (a.k.a. Vernon Community News) is a fully-functional Free Resource for the Vernon and Okanagan Community. Our Mission is to provide an online tool for residents that will facilitate a stronger community as a whole.

  1. Greetings, I just registered and logged in with no problem. I have clicked on profile to set up my profile but it is not allowing me to do anything. Am I missing something? I signed in with Firefox.

      Scroll down the screen and you will find the “Profile Photo”, “Personal” and “Preferences” buttons on the Left sidebar of the Profile page. You can edit your settings there and make changes to your privacy options as well. If you have any more difficulties, please let us know.

      Also – We will be adding more options to the Personal section over the next week or so (giving you more options for sharing personal info). If you have any suggested fields, please let us know.

  2. Hi, still seems to be an issue with getting profile up. I logged out and logged back in, clicked on profile top right, clicked on the blank pic but nothing happened, clicked on profile on left and it says, something about sorry, no profile info…

  3. I logged out of Explorer and logged in via Firefox and everything seems to be working now. Go figure.

      Excellent – glad to hear it worked out. It’s possible that explorer was running from a cached version of the profile page, but I’ll look into it and see if I can find any more bugs. (IE is a web designers nemesis). Thanks again Chris for all the feedback and support.
